Double Degrees

Students may enhance their Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree by simultaneously completing second degrees from either the Dietrich School of Arts and Sciences or the School of Information Sciences. The Double Degree Program provides an excellent opportunity to pair business with other academic disciplines. Learn more about the advantages of this program.

Pitt Business & Arts and Sciences Double Degree

To earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree and either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Sciences (BS) degree, a student must meet the admission requirements of both schools and earn a minimum of 150 credits (minimum of 60 credits for the BSBA, and 90 credits for the BS degree). Students must complete all Dietrich School and general education requirements and an Dietrich School major (but not a related area), as well as complete all of the Pitt Business core requirements  and a major in Pitt Business. Dietrich School students earn a BA, BS, or BPhil degree, depending on the program of study.

Pitt Business & School of Information Sciences Double Degree

To earn a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration (BSBA) degree and either a Bachelor of Arts (BA) or Bachelor of Sciences (BS) degree, a student must meet the admission requirements of both schools and earn a minimum of 150 credits  (minimum of 60 credits for the BSBA, 54 credits in Arts and Sciences, 30 credits in School of Information Sciences (SIS) courses, and the six remaining credits may be taken in any of the three areas).

Generally, students will complete a minimum of four terms of full-time study registered as SIS students and a minimum of four terms of full-time study registered as Pitt Business students. Students pursuing the CBA/SIS  option will fulfill the SIS-related field requirement with the BSBA degree. Students are eligible to apply for admission to the BSBA program at the end of their first year or after the completion of at least 24 credits applicable to graduation, and can apply for admission to SIS after the completion of the sophomore year or after the completion of 55 credits.
