Prior to joining the University of Pittsburgh, John spent 33 years with Bayer as a Senior Executive leading large supply chain and commercial organizations. After Bayer, John was the SVP for Business development at MTG Consulting from 2012-2014. In 2014 John joined CDI Global as a partner in their consulting practice.

John is a senior level chemical industry executive with sustained P&L performance. He has proven achievements in strategic and tactical sales, global marketing, global operations and supply chain management. He has led organizations through change and is also versed in risk management. He has held international assignments in Canada and Germany.

John has extensive expertise in business process re-engineering and organizational optimization. He has led large teams through SAP implementations and was responsible for driving vast supply chain improvements at large chemical manufacturers. He has been a board member for four organizations. In 2008 he was named the year’s outstanding chemical industry leader by the American Chemistry Council.

With CDI Global, John has been focused on mergers and acquisitions as a consultant. He has also served as mentor and an executive coach for key personnel in industrial organizations.

John is married and lives in the Pittsburgh area. He holds an MSIE, Engineering Management and a BSc, Chemistry from the University of Pittsburgh and currently serves on the board for the Washington Area Humane Society.
