Anthony Rodi, Clinical Associate Professor of Business Administration, has been tapped to serve as the Interim Associate Dean of the University of Pittsburgh College of Business Administration (Pitt Business) effective July 1, 2019.
A national search will be conducted during the coming academic year to name a permanent Associate Dean to the College of Business Administration due to the vacancy left by Dr. Audrey J. Murrell, who was named Acting Dean of the University of Pittsburgh Honors College.
Rodi brings over 16 years of experience in higher education, with the last four years serving as faculty in business information systems at the University of Pittsburgh. During his time at Pitt Business, he was named Outstanding Teacher of the Year in 2016. He was awarded both the Excellence in Teaching and Excellence in Service Awards in 2017. Rodi also has nearly 25 years in industry experience.
“I am thrilled to have Tony on board as interim Associate Dean,” says Dr. Arjang A. Assad, Henry E. Haller Jr. Dean. “He has been instrumental to our success with teaching and advising for national case competitions and programming.”
Rodi looks forward to continuing the legacy that Dr. Murrell built at Pitt Business in bringing students From The Classroom, To the City, To the World.
“The success of the College of Business Administration over the past several years has been impressive,” says Rodi. “I hope to step in and not lose a beat as we continue with the direction that Dr. Murrell set for our students.”
