Internship for Credit
To be eligible for the Pitt Business Internship for Credit program:
- You must be a Pitt Business student
- Have completed one semester at Pitt Business
- Have a GPA of 2.75 or higher
- Work for a minimum of 10 hours a week for 10 weeks during the semester you intend to take the internship
- Receive credit if you are enrolled for the internship course at the same time you perform it
- You can earn up to six internship credits but only three per semester
- The deadline to apply for an internship for credit is on the Monday of the Add/Drop period end week
Elective Internships (All classes are pass/fail):

BUS 1900 (3 credits)

BUS 1904 (1 credit) – used in full-time internship or co-op situations to maintain full-time student status. Students who receive financial aid should discuss the implications of enrolling in BUS 1904 with the Office of Financial Aid before deciding to do so.

BUS 1906 (1 credit) – used for those students whose company requires them to take the internship for academic credit

- Log in to Handshake
- Click “Experiences” under Career Center in the top navigation
- Select “Request an Experience.”
- Submit the form and email Internship Manager, Claire Dawkins for additional instructions.
