Christopher Curd
Executive in Residence: Marketing and Sports Business
Chris Curd is an experienced business development professional with a history of working in the e-commerce and technology space. He is skilled in sales, communications, customer relationship management, and general management. He holds a BSBA from Pitt Business and an MBA from the University of Pittsburgh Joseph M. Katz Graduate School of Business.
Chris is currently the owner and league commissioner of the Pittsburgh Flag Football League. In this role, he creates new business lines of revenue to drive growth and support the league; maintains full integration of the league marketing and sales systems; and coordinates public relations and publicity.
Prior to the Pittsburgh Flag Football League, Chris worked in business development for the agency Branding Brand. He managed more than 25 major retail accounts, including DICK’S Sporting Goods, GNC, Major League Baseball, Dollar General, and Vitamin Shoppe. He was involved in negotiating client service agreements, creating quarterly reports to clients, and performing lead generation to secure new clients.
Chris also worked as Director of Marketing and Athlete Recruitment for Velocity Sports Performance and as a Contracts Administrator for Pokemon USA. He is also a former academic advisor and instructor at Pitt Business.
Chris is a former professional athlete. His football career includes time with the Atlanta Falcons (NFL), Columbus Destroyers (AFL), Albany Conquest (AF2), and Mahoning Valley Thunder.
