Pitt Business Dean Gene Anderson has announced the appointment of Deborah Good as the new Associate Dean for Undergraduate Business Education, effective September 1, 2023. Good, a Clinical Professor of Business Administration with a remarkable tenure of over 30 years at Pitt, will bring her wealth of experience to lead the undergraduate programs and collaborate closely with staff units supporting these offerings.
Throughout her career, Good has consistently displayed exceptional dedication and teaching prowess, earning her prestigious accolades such as the Pitt Business Service Award and Best Teaching awards. Notably, in 2018, she was recognized as a Top 50 Undergraduate Professor by Poets & Quants, and was the inaugural recipient of the Doris & Douglas Bernstein Award for Faculty Teaching Excellence, solidifying her reputation as an outstanding educator.
In her new role as Associate Dean, Good will leverage her extensive experience and expertise to further enhance the quality and reputation of the undergraduate business education program. Working closely with the faculty’s area directors, undergraduate program committee, and governing faculty, she will spearhead initiatives aimed at refining the program’s curriculum, fostering innovation, and nurturing an environment conducive to academic excellence.
