The College of Business Administration at the University of Pittsburgh is ranked No. 34 overall and No. 23 among public universities in U.S. News & World Report’s 2022-23 Undergraduate Business Program Ranking.
The Pitt program rose 15 spots in the overall ranking and seven spots among public programs from the national publication’s 2021-22 rankings, the largest jump in the top 50 programs. U.S. News & World Report’s rankings are determined by a survey of deans and senior faculty members at accredited undergraduate business programs nationwide.
Earlier in 2022, Poets&Quants ranked the program No. 10 overall among public undergraduate programs – its highest-ever place in this ranking. Other results included: No. 1 for leading to a dream career, No. 3 for networking, and No. 5 for quality of teaching.
“This is an exciting time for our undergraduate programs with new records in applications student qualifications, and student outcomes,” says Lawrence Feick, interim associate dean. “Our success is a direct result of the efforts of our entire community – our alumni, students, faculty, and staff. Thank you to everyone for their continuing efforts that have made us a premier undergraduate business program.”
Innovation continues at the Pitt Business Undergraduate program as new changes for Fall included: required courses on data analytics and enhanced equity, diversity, and inclusion content in multiple courses. A new Business Minor was introduced to make the program and world-class faculty more accessible to students across the University. A newly approved Business Analytics major is currently being implemented. Students can declare the major as of Fall 2023.
