“I love Pitt Business. I feel as though I am learning a lot, and the courses I am taking have granted me the business skills and knowledge base that are necessary to be successful in my field.”

This extracurricular program is designed around the 10 functional categories that recruiters prize, categories such as professional development, cross-functional teamwork, leadership, and communication skills. Students earn points for completing activities in each category and their proficiency is measured as they progress through different levels.
Learn MoreAs an incoming freshman, you get started on your business education right away by living with fellow business students in the Bruce Hall dormitory. Each of the four floors represents a "community" devoted to a specific interest area: Global Business, Social Responsibility, Business Honors, and Entertainment and Sports. Residents participate in a variety of classroom lectures, special events, and projects to enrich their freshman year.
Learn MoreThe 9-credit honors program lets exemplary students complete a more rigorous program of study with enhanced core classes, honors electives, and an experience-based learning capstone. The capstone gives students the option of completing either a research track with a faculty member, a global business experience, or a senior-level project with an experience-based learning focus.

In the Projects in Marketing Course, students form a full-service marketing agency and envision, plan, and execute a strategic campaign for a client. Past teams have worked for the Pittsburgh Steelers and NFL, and have won national college competitions for their work with American Eagle Outfitters, Mazda, Chevrolet, and Nissan.
Learn MoreWhat if Pittsburgh organizations, particularly nonprofits, could somehow harness the collective power of Pitt Business students? Now they can, through Panther Projects, an initiative in which Pitt Business students work with a client and complete a series of strategic business projects over the course of multiple semesters.
Learn MoreThe Pitt Business Career Services team has a longstanding partnership with top employers in Pittsburgh and worldwide. They help connect students with coveted jobs and internships, and prepare students for those positions through professional development services such as résumé workshops, interview practice sessions, and Executive-in-Residence counseling services.
Learn More“Pitt Business puts great emphasis on giving its students a well-rounded education by encouraging them to participate in things outside the classroom such as internships, student organizations, study abroad, and volunteer work.”

Pitt Business operates five international anchor locations year round, each of which enables students to take Pitt Business courses, while immersing themselves in another country's culture and business climate. Each location is grouped around a core business function: Buenos Aires is global management, London is finance and accounting, Florence is human resources, Shanghai is supply chain management, and Sydney is marketing and business information systems.
Learn MorePitt Business offers a 14-week International Internship Program that lets students earn credits while working for companies abroad, ranging from global corporations such as Dow Chemical, Morningstar, General Motors, and Mylan, to small-to-mid-size international businesses. Internship cities change from year to year, although popular destinations include Beijing, Berlin, Dublin, Madrid, and São Paulo.
Learn MorePick any international city and there is a good chance Pitt give you the opportunity to study there. The Study Abroad Office offers programs in the fall, spring, and summer in more than 75 countries. Trips can have either a business or non-business focus, and the length of the trip ranges from as short as a week to a full year.
Learn More“Through the Pitt Business Plus3 program, I traveled to Germany the summer after my freshman year. I was able to learn about German lifetimes, better appreciate German culture and customs, and interactively examine the German business environment. This unforgettable experience gave me a strong sense of global awareness that will serve me as a professional in my business career.”
